How I can help you

You may be in a situation where you feel stuck, unhappy or uncertain about the way forward...

Whether it's school, a transition in life, relationship problems, career planning, leadership development, workplace stress, performance at work, making friends, what ever it may be... it can be difficult to navigate, find, and speak to someone who understands and can help in your specific situation.

I have more than 26 years of professional experience working with individuals and workplaces. My history includes case management, rehabilitation counselling, counselling, training, human resources, marketing leadership development and coaching allied health professionals.

My experience has been broad in both urban and regional areas. After many years providing services within specific funded support systems, I have returned to my passion of counselling and coaching individuals. I take pride in using my experience to be flexible and to get to the core of what you need - to do what works!

A bit about me

I grew up in a small country town in the Mid North of South Australia. I'm a mother of 2 and a real 'Susie homemaker'. I love cooking, sewing, gardening and just relaxing with my family...

Throughout my life, I've had people close to me challenged by their mental health. This fuelled my passion and desire to give back and help people overcome their challenges, and - at a larger scale - informing organisations, schools and communities on the benefit of understanding mental health.

I don't promise to get rid of the parts of you that you find challenging. However, I will focus on supporting you to truly know yourself. When we know our strengths, our values, and our challenges... THEN we can become the best version of ourselves.

We need to 'put honey on the good stuff'. What I mean by that is, we need to recognise what's great about you and what is going well.  Once we recognise this we need to ensure we reinforce and seek more of this (Put the honey on).

I advocate for the importance of nurturing mental health outside of my practice. I write for my local community publication - the One Tree Hill Grapevine - and have been a key contributor to a mental health initiative for our local netball club. Awareness raising is critical to improving health outcomes.
